It was with some irony I realized that the Fall Foliage trees I loved best in New Hampshire were called Japanese Maples. And here’s a Japanese Maple in Japan. Wonder if they have any New Hampshire trees here?

Found this in a small garden as we were leaving the area with the shrines.

Close-Up - Water Feature

Interesting engineering thing here. When water pours out of the rain gutter into the spout, instead of spraying everywhere, the water follows the chain, presumably creating a nice sound while also focusing the water flow.

Japanese Raccoon Dog

Not quite. Just me in a hand-carved glass shop. Beautifully crafted pieces here in a little shopping area in Asakusa.
